I’m Jayce Gushnowski, a Master of Counselling student at City University of Seattle with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grant MacEwan University. I am excited to offer counselling support as I complete my internship starting Fall 2025.
If you are looking for support with day to day stress, anxiety, relationships concerns, life transitions, or simply want a space to talk and be heard, I would be happy to connect with you. As I am an immersing practitioner, at this time I am not equipped in the areas of past traumas, co-occurring mental health diagnoses, or substance use concerns.
Whether this is your first time seeking counselling or you’ve had therapy before, I aim to create a comfortable environment where you feel understood and supported. I approach my work with warmth, compassion, and adaptability to meet each person where they are to create a safe and supportive space. I am passionate to work with diverse individuals with various life experiences to co-create opportunities to find meaningful change.
My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches and guided by cultural sensitivity. In sessions, I draw on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Outside of studies and work, I find balance and self-care in participating in activities like team sports, fitness, arts/crafts, and travelling.
